Michael Lee Hancock, 35, of Belle, died April 25, 2009, after
being struck by an automobile in the Belle area.
Mr. Hancock was
preceded in death by his grandparents, who were also his foster parents, Henry
Lee Hancock Sr. and Euretha Hancock; stepfather, Hobert Johnson; foster sister,
Eva Whatley and foster brother, Kenneth Hancock; cousins, Richard, Samuel Lee
and Ashton Hancock.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Bishop
Hancock; mother, Therese Johnson of South Charleston; brother, Charles Hudson
Jr. of Florida; sister, Vestina McNeely of Cedar Grove; foster siblings, Cheryl
Johnson, Henry Lee Hancock Jr., John Hancock, Deborah Armes, Wanda Levitt,
Cherie Hobbs, Ronald Hancock, Samuel Hancock and Zellia Bishop; special brother,
Thomas J. Clyburn; special friends, Elmer McKinney and Kevin Medford; several
nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
Funeral services will be held
at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at Fidler & Frame Funeral Home, Belle, with the
Rev. Randy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at the Bishop Cemetery,
Hanshaw Road, Pinch, W.Va.
Friends may call one hour before the service
at the funeral home.
