"Where Do I Go Now?"
Dear Alumni,
Recently, I was asked
by Stephen Richard as to whether or not I might write a letter to the DuPont
High School graduates of 1992. I consider it to be an honor to write to you.
The years I spent as principal of DuPont High will always be remembered by me as
some of the very best years of my career. While there, I had the opportunity to
work with a wonderful staff and to serve a great group of students. It has been
truly a pleasure for me, whenever the opportunity may arise, to cross paths with
a DuPont graduate to share our life experiences. It has been 21 years since you
graduated.
Much has happened since that time. I currently serve as
Superintendent of the Wood County School system. The move to Wood County has
been a wonderful opportunity for me as this was where I was born and raised. I
have grown much more gray and have acquired four grandchildren. I hope that the
years since you graduated have been equally as good for you.
I still return
to Charleston frequently and I hope that if you see me at the mall, at a
sporting event, or on the street that you will introduce yourself and we can
become reacquainted. Good luck and best wishes to all of the DuPont graduates.
